Fulham sign Vincenzo Montella on loan

By Soccer Blog | Jan 4, 2007

English premiership side Fulham have managed to sign AS Roma and Italy striker Vincenzo Montella on a 6 month loan deal.

Montella has been plagued by injuries in 2006 and was not part of the Italian squad that lifted soccer’s world crown in 2006. He is a short striker and is nicknamed the aeroplane for his trademark celebration of goals.

Fulham are currently 12th in the table and Montella is the latest addition to a list which already contains players like Collins John, Tomasz Radzinski and Heidar Helguson.
