PSV loan deal for Albert Luque?

By Soccer Blog | Jan 11, 2007

Former Deportivo and RCD Mallorca striker Albert Luque could move to PSV on a loan deal. Francis Martin, the Spanish striker’s agent, has reportedly told De Telegraaf newspaper that a loan move to PSV could be a real possibility.

Luque has struggled to live up to expectations at Newcastle after moving to St James Park for a fee of £ 9.5 million in 2005. He is contracted to them till 2010. Luque has had limited first team chances and has not made the bench even after recovering from the injuries that plagued him. He is way down the pecking order at St James behind Owen, Martins, Amoebi and Sibeirski and the man who supported Barcelona as a boy is keen to get first team action again.

Edit- PSV have called off the deal as Newcastle do not want to let him go
