AC Milan sign Ronaldo from Real Madrid

By Soccer Blog | Jan 31, 2007

After months of speculation on whether he would or would not,Luis Nazario De Lima has moved to AC Milan. He was, for your information, effectively the last Galactico remaining at Real Madrid with Figo and Zidane going out and Beckham agreeing to a contract with the LA Galaxy.

Ronaldo returns to Milan after four years. He moved from Inter Milan to Real Madrid for an estimated fee of 39 million euros in 2002, the same year Brazil won the football World Cup.

Ronaldo’s high points at Madrid will be his brace on debut for the Spanish giants, and his hattrick against Manchester United in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. He has been dogged by questions about his fitness and form, but Carlo Ancelotti is sure that he has made the right decision by bringing the Brazilian to Italy.

Ronaldo’s last few years in the Spanish capital were not the happiest of his playing career, and he would certainly not have liked playing Capello, whose coaching dictum is quite opposite to the happy go way that Ronaldo plays.

The fee is undisclosed, although various sources say it is close to the 8 million dollar mark. The Milan prez had earlier wanted him to come for free, but Real wanted a fee since his contract ran into next season.
