By Soccer Blog | May 29, 2007

Another rumour states that Lyon winger Florent Malouda may be on his way to Anfield.

It is being alleged that the Merseyside club, runners up in this season’s Champions League are prepared to cough upto 10 million pounds for the left winger.Malouda has been at Lyon since 2003, after joining them from Guingamp. He is a regular in the French national team, and was named player of the 06-07 season in Ligue 1. Malouda had 8 goals and 5 assists to his name.

It is being speculated that Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas is ready to let Malouda go for the right price. Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus are also reportedly interested.

Liverpool did not really have the services of a top quality left midfield player last season. Kewell was unavailable, and Zenden wasn’t too impressive. Gonzalez has had problems with work permits.
