Argentina win FIFA U-20 World Cup

Although their senior team was unable to win the Copa America for an unprecedented fifteenth time, Argentina’s U-20 team lifted their sixth U-20 World Cup title, their fifth since 1995, by beating the Czech Republic 2-1.

Chile finished third by beating Austria 1-0.

With six goals, Sergio Aguero also wins the Golden Ball and Golden Shoe awards. The next edition of the tournament will be held in Japan, two years hence.

Coincidentally, Japan won the Fair Play award at this year’s world cup in Canada.
