As I mentioned in one of my posts before, soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world. Humans are always a social lot, and soccer is a sport which many people enjoy. It is therefore no wonder that we see thousands of soccer forums on the internet. You will see a variety of fans in there- some hardcore, some new to the beautiful game. Each forum has a different crowd, and like your set of friends at school and college, one does tend to get attached to a particular forum after a period of time.

There are some all round soccer forums, and some which are based on one or more country’s leagues only. Bigsoccer is an example of the former, and you will find some brilliant minds to debate with there.

The English Premier League is, without a doubt, the league on which most of the forums are based. There are tons of forums for United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool- four of the biggest clubs in the Premiership. There are fewer forums as you go down the list of teams, and even more harder to find a quality one. I stumbled upon a Tottenham forum yesterday. Spurs are a pretty good team, and have spent quite a bit in this season’s transfer window, buying the likes of Darren Bent, Younes Kaboul and Gareth Bale. I thought that they could have been contenders for a Champions League spot last season, but unfortunately, they were unable to accomplish that and injuries were partially to blame. I am not a diehard Spurs fan, but I do appreciate their football and some of their players- Berbatov, King and Jenas for example.

Here is wishing Jol and his boys good luck in their ‘07-08 campaign.
