Micah Richards hopes to sign new Manchester City deal

By Soccer Blog | Sep 6, 2007

Manchester City defender Micah Richards is reportedly expecting to sign a new deal which will extend his stay at the City of Manchester stadium. Richards, who has been in excellent form in the Premiership so far, is currently contracted to the club 2010. He had signed a four year deal in October 2006 along with Joey Barton, who now is no longer associated with the club.

Richards has risen up the ranks very fast at City and is one of their prime assets. And as Sven Goran Eriksson looks to try and take his team into Europe in a season or two, he will try and keep the prodigal defender at COMS.

Meanwhile you can read the new Micah Richards column at BBC.
