Scotland 3-1 Lithuania ( Boyd, McManus, James McFadden/ Danilevicius)

Georgia 1-1 Ukraine ( David Siradze/ Oleh Shelayev)

Italy 0-0 France

Group C : 

Hungary 1-0 Bosnia Herzegovina ( Zoltan Gera)

Malta 2-2 Turkey ( Said, Schembri/ Altintop, Cetin)

Moldova 0-1 Norway ( Steffen Iversen)

Group D : 

Wales 0-2 Germany ( Miroslav Klose *2)

San Marino 0-3 Czech Republic ( Tomas Rosicky, M. Jankulovski, J.Koller)

Slovakia 2-2 Republic of Ireland ( Klimpl, Cech/ Stephen Ireland, Kevin Doyle)

Group E : 

England 3-0 Israel ( Michael Owen, S.Wright Phillips, Micah Richards)

One of England’s best performances under Steve Mclaren. The game also saw Emile Heskey playing for the Three Lions after a span of three years.

Russia 3-0 Macedonia ( Berezutsky, Arshavin, Alexander Kerzhakov)

Croatia 2-0 Estonia ( Eduardo*2)

Group F : 

Latvia 1-0 Northern Ireland ( Baird own goal)

The only game of the day to be decided by an own goal.
