By Soccer Blog | Jan 25, 2008

Wigan Athletic have signed striker Marlon King from Watford on a three and a half year contract. The move comes hours after Fulham, who were once favourites to sign King, let Collins John move to Vicarage Road.

King joins Emile Heskey, Julius Agahowa, David Cotterill and on loan Marcus Bent in the list of strikers now available at Steve Bruce’s disposal.

Wigan have also seen Denny Laandzaat quit England for a move back to the EreDivisie ( Feyernoord)

King scored 24 goals in 60 appearances for Watford and joined the Hornets from Nottingham Forest.
