Pretty simple one here :-

The RFK stadium in Washington will probably never forget this footballer, for he scored one of the finest goals in the history of the beautiful game there. The referee of this game has also officiated in a Champions League final featuring Real Madrid. The team that he scored the goal against was captained by a Parma defender better known as the man who prevented the Dutch from qualifying for the 1986 World Cup.

Name the player who scored the goal. Special mention if you get the name of the opposition skipper right.

ANSWER BELOW:-

James, you were right about the 1994 WC.

The player in question was Saeed Al Owairan of Saudi Arabia- scored a wonder goal against Belgium.

    Too tough.

The RFK stadium clue probably tells me that it was the 1994 world cup, but I really can’t progress beyond that.
