Srecko to coach Al Wasl

By Soccer Blog | Oct 6, 2008

Dubai based Al Wasl FC have announced that former Rijeka player Srecko Juricic will be their new manager. Juricic replaces another Czech coach, Miroslav Beránek, whose contract was terminated by the management of the club in September. Beranek coached Hungary’s Debrecen before taking over at Al Wasl.

Many people remember Juricic as the man who nearly took Bahrain to the 2006 World Cup. Bahrain lost to Togo in the World Cup playoffs.

Juricic also formerly managed Al Ahli, who are currently coached by compatriot Ivan Hasek.
