Les Ferdinand appointed strikers’ consultant

By Soccer Blog | Nov 5, 2008

Former Tottenham striker Les Ferdinand will rejoin the North London club as part of Harry Redknapp’s coaching entourage. Ferdinand, 41, has been appointed as Spurs’ strikers’ consultant. Ferdinand joins Timothy Sherwood, who joined Spurs as first team coach in late October.

Ferdinand scored thirty three goals in 118 appearances for Tottenham, joining them from Newcastle United in 1997. He is also the scorer of the 10,000th goal in Premiership history.

Reports are also linking Teddy Sheringham with a return to Spurs.

Tottenham, who have picked up seven points from their last three Premiership games after Redknapp took over from Juande Ramos, play Manchester City next.
