Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard will miss England’s international friendly against Germany after tearing his leg muscle in the Reds’ 2-0 win over Bolton Wanderers yesterday. Gerrard, who also scored in that game, has tore his adductus magnor muscle in his right leg, and could be out for anywhere between 7-10 days.

Capello already has Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Ashley Cole and Joe Cole ruled out due to injury, and could see skipper John Terry join the list if a scan on the Chelsea defender’s foot reveals any issue.
