David Moyes fined 5,000 pounds by the FA

Everton managed David Moyes has been fined £5,000 by the English Football Association for improper conduct. Moyes was furious when referee Alan Wiley refused to give a penalty when Leon Cort appeared to handle the ball in Everton’s 3-2 away win at Stoke City in September, and was sent to the stands by Wiley for his behaviour.

The hearing, which was conducted on Tuesday, found Moyes guilty, but took his past record into account while deciding the quantum of punishment.

In reaching its decision, the commission said that it was taking into account Moyes’s good disciplinary record, his admission of the charge and his apology.
