West Bromwich Albion want Bendtner on loan

By Soccer Blog | Dec 14, 2008

According to reports in the press, West Bromwich Albion are keen to bring Arsenal’s Danish forward Nicklas Bendtner to Hawthorns on loan in January. Bendtner, 20, spent the 2006-07 season on loan at Birmingham City, but may not feel very enthused at the idea of joining the Baggies, who are currently at the bottom of the Premiership table, and look destined to go down.

Baggies boss Tony Mowbray is looking for a striker after Ishmael Miller was ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Wigan Athletic are also reportedly interested in Bendtner, with Russian club Spartak Moscow also considering tabling a £5m bid for him in January.
