Pavel Pardo rejoins Club America

Mexican international Pavel Pardo has rejoined Club America for a fee of $4m from VfB Stuttgart. Defensive midfielder Pardo played for Club America for seven years between 1999 and 2006 before joining Stuttgart for a fee of 1 million euros after the 2006 World Cup.

Pardo, 32, has been capped over 140 times for the Mexican national team. Club America had a very poor 2008 season, finishing last in their groups in both the Clausura and the Apertura. Pardo will officially join the club in January 2009. Pardo has scored four goals in his seventy odd appearances for Stuttgart so far. He wore the number 13 jersey at Stuttgart.
