kenny-deucharHamilton Academical have signed former Gretna striker Kenny Deuchar till the end of the season.

Deuchar, popularly known as Dr.Goals, recently left MLS side Real Salt Lake. He had joined the MLS club in February 2008, and scored three goals in 29 appearances for them.

Hamilton had made two unsuccessful attempts to sign Deuchar last year.

Accies are currently 11th in the 12 team SPL, one point above Inverness, who parted company with manager Craig Brewster yesterday.

This is what Hamilton boss Billy Reid had to say,

” I have been trying to sign Kenny for a while so I’m happy to get him at last.

“Most teams these days have a targetman so I have been looking for one myself.

“Kenny is 6ft 3in and has a fantastic scoring record. We got a whisper last week that he may be available so it’s brilliant to have him here “
