By Soccer Blog | Jan 25, 2009

marko-babicAccording to French newspaper L’Equipe, AS Monaco are reportedly interested in Croatian winger Marko Babic.

Babic, 28, currently plays for Real Betis. He joined Betis from Leverkusen in July 2007 for €12m.

Babic has been capped 49 times for the Croatian national team, but was not in the squad that reached the quarterfinals of Euro 2008.

Babic has also been linked with German club Hertha Berlin in the winter transfer window.

Should the move materialise, Babic will become the fourth Croatian player at ASM, joining Dario Simic, Jerko Leko and Nikola Pokrivac.
