Kaiserslautern sign Dario Damjanovic

dario-damjanovicGerman 2.Bundesliga side FC Kaiserslautern have snapped up young Bosnian midfielder Dario Damjanovic from Russian club Luch-Energiya Vladivostok.

The 27 year old started his career in his native country, but moved to Hajduk Split in 2004. After two years at the Croatian club, the moved to Luch-Energiya Vladivostok.

Damjanovic has signed a contract till 2011 at Kaiserslautern, but financial details of the transfer were not revealed. However FCK chairman Stefan Kuntz said that they were able to get him for a very reasonable price because of the current financial crisis.

Damjanovic has been capped 16 times for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. He joins fellow Bosnian Said Husejinovi?, who is on loan from Werder Bremen, at the Fritz Walter Stadium.
