Werder Bremen sign Marko Futacs

German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen have announced the signing of Hungarian youngster Marko Futacs from French side AS Nancy Lorraine.

The 18 year old is a striker, and has been signed by Werder on a two and a half year contract ( 30.6.2011)

Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs said on the club’s official website that they had been tracking Futacs’ progress for quite a while and hoped that the youngster could develop well at Bremen.

Futacs had never played a single top flight French League game for Nancy before the transfer.

Edit- Marko Futacs has made his debut for Werder Bremen.

He started for Werder Bremen U-23 against Brinkumer SV in a 3.Liga game on February 9, 2009.

Futacs scored the first goal of the game in the fifth minute, heading home a corner from Kevin Artmann. He also created the fourth goal for Artmann. Werder won the game 6-0.

He was replaced by Stefan Ronneburg at the beginning of the second half.
