Manuel Fernandes wants summer move to Pompey

Portuguese midfielder Manuel Fernandes has said that he wants to return to England in the summer. Fernandes, 23, currently plays for Spanish giants Valencia, but is keen to return to the Premier League, where he had loan spells with Everton and Portsmouth.

Fernandes had a wonderful time at Goodison Park, although his stint at Pompey was not as successful as the one at Everton.

Fernandes was linked with a move to Everton in the 2007 summer transfer window, but eventually opted to join Valencia in a £12.2million deal.

Fernandes has said that he “loves” the atmosphere in England.
