Sheffield United sign John Joe O’Toole on loan

Sheffield United have signed Irish midfielder John-Joe O’Toole on loan from Watford till the end of the season. Irish U-21 international O’Toole, a Watford youth product, was named Watford Young Player of the Year for the 2007/08 season.

O’Toole was previously on loan at non league Windmere in the 2006-07 season. He made his debut for Watford in August 2007 against Southend United in the Carling Cup.

O’Toole is expected to make his Blades debut against Birmingham City on Sunday. He is ineligible to play against Hull City in the FA Cup replay on Thursday.
