Wigan sign Cho Won Hee

By Soccer Blog | Mar 11, 2009

Wigan Athletic have snapped up 25 year old Cho Won Hee on a free transfer. The Korean international can play in both midfield and defence ( he is primarily an attacking full back), and has joined the Latics on a two and a half year deal.

Won Hee could make his Wigan debut against Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday. He also had a trial with French club AS Monaco.

Another Wilson Palacios in the making? We’ll just have to wait and watch.

Steve Bruce certainly thinks that he has what is needed to be a success in the Premier League.

Won Hee is not the first Korean to go west ward. Park Ji Sung currently plays for Manchester United, while Lee Dong Gook had a short spell with Middlesbrough.
