Manchester City slash UEFA Cup ticket prices

By Soccer Blog | Mar 23, 2009

Manchester City have slashed the rates of tickets for their UEFA Cup quarterfinal home leg against Germany’s Hamburg to be held on April 16.

Tickets will be on sale at £5 for the first five days ( starting from Wednesday 25 March 2009 when the tickets officially go on sale), then £10 for the next ten days ( up to April 8), and then £20 after.

Children can buy the tickets for just £1. City are playing in the quarter finals of the UEFA Cup for the first time since 1979.

City’s home attendance statistics this season at the UEFA Cup don’t make for great reading. Their average attendance in the Premier League is over 43,000.

against FC Midtjylland- Attendance 17,200
against Omonia Nicosia-Attendance 25,304
against FC Twente- Attendance 21,247
against PSG- Attendance 25,626
against FC Copenhagen- Attendance 26,018
