Group A

Japan 1-0 Bahrain

Goal scorer:- Shunsuke Nakamura 47′

Uzbekistan 4-0 Qatar

Goal scorers:- Tadjiev Fahrod 34′, 45′, 53′, Anvarjon Soliev 61′

First win for Uzbekistan in Round 4 as they thrashed Bruno Metsu’s Qatar 4-0. Qatar were extremely poor, and one wondered how they had got the better of the Uzbeks when the two met in Qatar. All four of Uzbekistan’s goals, including Tadjiev’s hat trick, came from headers. Qatar were a man down early in the game, but the way the Uzbeks played, there was only going to be one winner even if Qatar had 11 players. Uzbekistan next face Australia on Wednesday.

North Korea 2-0 United Arab Emirates

Goal scorers :- Nam Chol Pak 51′, In Guk Mun 90′

Iran 1-2 Saudi Arabia

Goal scorers:- Masoud Shojaei 57′/ Naif Hazazi 78′, Osama Harbi 86′
