Great start for Hamburger SV. Croatian striker Ivica Olic produces a classy finish to give HSV the lead after Joris Mathijsen intercepted the ball in his own half and ran into the Bremen half to set Olic up.
HSV 1-1 Werder Bremen ( Diego 29′ goal)
Werder Bremen have got that crucial away goal now, and the scores are level. Nobody tracks the run of Brazilian playmaker Diego, and Werder’s No.10 plays a brilliant one two with striker Claudio Pizarro before striking the equaliser.
HSV 1-2 Werder Bremen ( Claudio Pizarro 66′ goal)
Werder have scored again, and if things stay this way, they will be the side meeting Shakhtar Donetsk in the final.

That must seal it for Werder Bremen !!! Frank Baumann heads in their third, and HSV now have to score twice with less than ten minutes to go. Wonder what Michael Gravgaard thinks of the plastic cup on the pitch!!! And that is twice they’ve ended Hamburg’s chances of silverware- they did it in the semifinals of the DFB Pokal last month too.
