Gossip from the English Premier League for Tuesday- May 19, 2009.

Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan could play in Manchester again, but this time in the colours of Manchester City. City boss Mark Hughes is trying to bring the former United forward to Eastlands after his chances of bringing David Villa were reduced because of interest from both Barcelona and Liverpool. The Mirror reports that Sparky might have to shell out £20 million for the Atletico striker.

AC Milan chairman Silvio Berlusconi has said that his side “have a very good chance” of signing Arsenal’s Togolese forward Emmanuel Adebayor.

Wigan’s Austrian midfielder Paul Scharner says that he wants to take the “next step” in his career by leaving the Latics. Villa, Spurs, Fulham and German clubs Hamburg and Schalke are said to be interested in the £6m rated midfielder.

With West Bromwich Albion’s relegation to the Championship confirmed, Wolves and Fulham could snatch on loan Nancy forward Marc Antoine Fortune from Hawthorns.

Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho has said that he will NOT be moving to Manchester City this summer.

Middlesbrough’s Adam Johnson wants a summer move to Atletico Madrid.

Inter Milan are expected to make a formal approach for Serbian defender Nemanja Vidic after the Champions League final- whether United would be prepared to let their player of the season leave Old Trafford is another matter altogether.
