By Soccer Blog | Jun 26, 2009

Premier League champions Manchester United have officially unveiled photos of their new home kit for the 2009-10 season.

The new shirt, manufactured by Nike, celebrates the 100th year of Manchester United’s home ground, Old Trafford. The stadium was opened in the 1909-10 season.

The shirt is primarily red, with a large chevron across the chest. The jersey, made of Nike’s Dri-Fit fabric, is accompanied by white shorts with a red stripe along the side.

It will go on general sale in July, and will be first worn by United in their preseason tour of Asia.

Hmm, definitely adds flavor to the uni. Makes it a lot less plain. I think I quite like it.

Yours is one of the few positive responses I’ve seen.

Most fans do not like the design of the new Man United shirt.
