Reigning Eredivisie holders AZ Alkmaar have confirmed that they have signed exciting Swedish youngster Rasmus Elm from Kalmar FF. Elm has made the switch to the Dutch league for a fee of 3 million euros.
Elm was one of Sweden’s stars at the European U-21 championships earlier this summer ( won by Germany). He has also been capped at senior level, and made his debut for Sweden against the USA in January 2009.
Elm has signed a four year contract with AZ.
