Man United 4-3 Man City goals

By Soccer Blog | Sep 20, 2009

An incredible Manchester derby sees seven goals being scored, and Michael Owen’s strike in the sixth minute of injury time gives United a 4-3 win at Old Trafford.

Manchester United 1-0 Man City ( Wayne Rooney 2′ goal)

Rooney takes advantage of some slack City defending to give United an early lead in the 151st United derby.

Man United 1-1 Man City ( Gareth Barry 16′ goal)

Ben Foster makes a horrendous error, and Carlos Tevez capitalises on it to pass the ball to Barry, who duly does the rest.

Man United 2-1 Man City ( Darren Fletcher 49′)

Fletcher scores from Giggs’ cross to put United 2-1. United make a strong start to the second half, just as they did to the first half.

Man United 2-2 Man City ( Craig Bellamy 52′)

Fabulous strike from Bellamy. O’Shea gives the Welsh forward a little too much space, and he smashes one into the top corner.

Man United 3-2 Man City ( Darren Fletcher 81′)

City have not learned from their mistakes. Shay Given produced three splendid saves to keep his side in the game, but even he cannot stop Fletcher from heading this one in.

Man United 3-3 Man City ( Craig Bellamy 90′)

It is Rio’s time to make an error, and Craig Bellamy outpaces the England defender before slotting in.

Man United 4-3 Man City ( Michael Owen 90+6′)

There is still a twist left in the game. Ryan Giggs produces a wonderful pass, and Michael Owen coolly finishes. Old Trafford erupts, and Mark Hughes looks angry.
