Today’s gossip column links Argentine skipper Javier Mascherano with a move down south to Italy in the winter.
Mascherano was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona that would have seen him follow in the footsteps of fellow midfielder Xabi Alonso ( who moved to Real Madrid from Liverpool)
Rafa Benitez will most certainly not want to lose Mascherano, given the poor form of Lucas Leiva and the injury problems of Alberto “the Glass” Aquilani.
But if Liverpool seem in danger of not qualifying for the Champions League at the end of Christmas, Masch could well switch to the Serie A, where Juventus at the current moment, will either finish as winners or runners up. ( Might seem a bit early to say that though)
