A defensive error from Yaya Toure allows Rubin to take the lead early in the game. Alexander Ryazantsev fires an unstoppable shot from long range to make 1-0 to the visitors.
Barcelona 1-1 Rubin Kazan ( Zlatan Ibrahimovic 48′ goal)
Ibrahimovic scores his first Champions League goal for Barcelona since his summer move from Inter. The tall Swede latches on to Xavi’s pass before producing an excellent finish to bring the Blaugrana on level terms.
Barcelona 1-2 Rubin Kazan ( Gokdeniz Karadeniz 73′ goal)
Rubin take the lead through Karadeniz in the 73rd minute. Assisted by Alejandro Dominiguez, the man who had scored both of Rubin’s goals in the games prior to this one. And for the statistically inclined, CSKA Moscow are the only Russian side to have won at the Nou Camp. As things stand, Rubin will add their names to that very short list.
