Aaron Hunt turns down England offer

By Soccer Blog | Nov 3, 2009

Werder Bremen forward Aaron Hunt has rejected England’s advances and has said that he will only play for Germany at senior level. The 23 year old has represented Germany at U-16, U-17 and U-21 levels, but is eligible to play for the Three Lions because his mother is English.

Hunt is expected to be called by Germany coach Joachim Low for the upcoming internationals against Chile and Cote D’Ivoire.

Goslar born Hunt, whose father is German, has played against England at U-21 level, and was given a two match ban by UEFA for alleged racist comments against Anton Ferdinand and Micah Richards.
