By Soccer Blog | Nov 14, 2009

Here are all the results and final scores from the African ( CAF) World Cup 2010 third round Qualifying games played on Saturday, November 14, 2009. The marquee game of the evening is obviously Egypt vs Algeria, but we have a few other intriguing qualifiers too.

Group A- Full time score

Morocco 0-2 Cameroon ( Achille Webo 18′, Samuel Eto’o 52′) ( Kickoff time 15.30 GMT in Fez)

Togo 1-0 Gabon ( Floyd Ayite 70′) ( Kickoff time 15.30 GMT in Lome)

Cameroon qualify for the 2010 World Cup, while Togo and Gabon, along with the Indomitable Lions, have qualified for the African Cup of Nations.

Group B-Full Time Score

Kenya 2-3 Nigeria ( Dennis Oliech 16′, Allan Wetende 79′/ Obafemi Martins 62′, 85′, Yakubu 65′ ) ( Kickoff time 13.00 GMT in Nairobi)

Mozambique 1-0 Tunisia ( Dario Monteiro 83′) ( Kickoff time 13.00 GMT in Maputo)

The Super Eagles qualify for the World Cup thanks to their win over Kenya, while Tunisia, who lead Group B at the beginning of the day, bow out after a defeat to Mozambique in Maputo. By virtue of their win over Tunisia, Mozambique take third place and qualify for the 2010 African Cup of Nations.

Group C- Full time score

Rwanda 0-0 Zambia ( KO time 13.30 GMT in Kigali)

Egypt 2-0 Algeria ( Amr Zaki 2′, Emad Moteab 90+5′) ( KO time 17.30 GMT in Cairo)

Algeria lose 2-0 to Egypt, and we have a playoff in Sudan on the 18th. Goals at the very beginning and end of the game for the Pharaohs, and they will now again play Algeria on the 18th to decide which one of the two qualifies for South Africa 2010.

Group D- Full time Score

Sudan 1-2 Benin ( Ishag Hassan 45′ pen/ Razak Omotoyossi 36′, Romuald Boco 62′) ( KO time 17.00 GMT in Omdurman)

Not a result that greatly affects the standings in Group D. Mali can regain second spot in the Group from Benin if they beat Ghana tomorrow.

Group E strong- Final score

Burkino Faso 1-0 Malawi ( M.Dagano 47′) ( 16.00 GMT kickoff in Ouagadougou)

Cote d’Ivoire 3-0 Guinea ( Gervinho 16, 31′, Siaka Tiene 68′) ( 16.00 GMT kickoff in Abidjan)

Guinea’s loss to Cote d’Ivoire means that Burkina Faso, Malawi and Cote d’Ivoire are the three teams from Group E to qualify for the 2010 African Cup of Nations.

Iam shocked by two results here Tunisia\mozambique i think the Tunisians blew it i never thought they could fail even to force a draw IN maputo.Egypt\Algeria well this was indeed game of the weekend i thought the algerians could have forced a draw i questian offcoz the added time in this game 5 minutes i gues was just too much. But may the best teams in Africa qualify. So far i think egypt will eventually make it.I would,nt be surprised if one African team reaches the semis

Tunisia- Mozambique was indeed a shocker.

Tunisia shot themselves in the foot with that result- they could have easily sent Nigeria out.

Egypt vs Algeria- we’ll see what happens in the playoff today.
