The two teams draw 0-0, just as they had done in Korea and Japan eight years ago. Uruguay had to endure a nervy last few minutes following the sending off of Nicolas Lodeiro, but managed to hang on.

Short preview:-France are a team in disarray following infighting and poor pre World Cup performances against Costa Rica, Tunisia and China.

Uruguay will be hopeful of an upset, given their attacking line and the fragile defence of Les Bleus. With the likes of Forlan and Suarez present, goals for La Celeste look on the cards.
