The game was tied at 1-1 before the Rooney goal sealed the fixture. The Rooney goal against Man City came in the 78th minute of the game, and was a spectacular overhead kick from the player- easily his best and most vital goal for Man United this season.
Rooney himself admitted after the game that the overhead kick was the first he had scored after turning professional.

I am not a fan of any particular club therefore I consider myself to be impartial. I my opinion pj’s comnment “THAT HAS TO BE GOAL OF THE SEASON” is an understatement. Having downloaded and viewed the video several times, I reckon it to be the finest goal I have ever seen. I am saddened by the bitterness expressed in some of the earlier comments – bitterness hurts those who express it more than those to whom it is directed. As for WR being ugly: well I wouldn’t personally like to go to bed with him but my girfriend says “he very sexy man”. She no have good English by the way.
