Japan lift the 2011 Women’s World Cup as they beat the United States 3-1 on penalties in Frankfurt. The USA took the lead twice in the game against the Japanese, but squandered it on both occasions. The Japanese held their nerve in the shootout to emerge world champions.

    the game was fantastic because how the women played theirs is more fantastic that even the men and how USA played the was exactly what it supposed to be but they must work on their penalty kicks so next time they can win and the Japanese too did very well i wish them all the best

    Good opponents? I don’t see the japan as future championship winners. The hype is building again. We are mediocre side in the big scheme of things so lets not get carried away again.
