This Mikel Arteta goal vs Blackburn was the Spanish midfielder’s first goal in Arsenal colours since his multi million pound transfer from Everton FC to the Gunners on 31 August, 2011. Arteta’s goal against Blackburn was the third goal of the game after Arsenal’s Gervinho and Blackburn’s Yakubu had swapped goals in the Premier League fixture between the two sides on 17 September, 2011 ( Saturday).
Arteta’s goal vs Blackburn was scored in the 34th minute of the game. Great finish from the Spaniard, slamming this into the roof of the Blackburn net. Aaron Ramsey provided the assist for Arteta’s goal. Unfortunately for Arteta, Arsenal went down 4-3 to Blackburn.
