First of all, in 2009 Chelsea had a winning team, nowadays Chelsea has good individual players who are yet to learn how to play properly as a team…Second of all, if I was a Chelsea supporter (which is pretty obvious that I’m not) I wouldn’t mention the referee, since the only reason Chelsea is going to play against Barcelona is because the referee helped Chelsea as much as he could… S.L.Benfica deserved to win and play against Barça… In the first game, in Lisbon, Chelsea scored a fair goal, which was something odd, since Chelsea hadn’t been playing that well…But soccer has this little moments where everything seems to depend on luck, and therefore Chelsea scored a totally fair goal… It just so happens that in that same game Terry made an amazing save…. And I do mean “save”, as he stopped the ball with his hands, making an obvious foul that should’ve resulted in a penalty against Chelsea… There was another hand who touched the ball later that game, but it wasn’t as obvious as the first one, so I’m not going to bother write much about.
This game however, was something amazing! The only comparrison I can make is in fact, the game Chelsea vs Barça in 2009. Benfica played a way better game than Chelsea, and as far as I read, Benfica’s defense players were all injured, and their coach had to make some interesting changes in the main team (I salut their coach for that, since, even though it was obvious that the two central defense players were not in their normal position, Benfica handled the situation pretty well), not only that but the penalty that allowed Chelsea to score the first goal was inexistent. That was not foul, and most certainly not a penalty. Then, not only did the referee score an inexistent penalty favouring Chelsea, but he showed 3 yellow cards for complaining, and one of those was to the captain of Benfica, who, as many of you know, is allowed to talk and complain with the referee. Then that same captain was expelled for a second yellow, which was well deserved…However at the same time he was expelled for a second yellow, many Chelsea players made such terrible fouls and not even a yellow card received…
My good Chelsea friends, I hope you the best, and I honestly hope you beat Barça, but this last game against Benfica was shamefull and to beat Barça, not only can you not count with the referee’s suport, but you have to play alot better than you have been playing.

Paul you are a idiot beacuse you have wrote something that is completely wrong:
1.) That was a clear penalty (Ashley Cole runs to goal defender stops him with foul ,then defender got yellow card. I just dont knom why pereira and cesar had to argue with referee (those two yellow cards were correct beacuse you mustn not jell at referee).
2.) Second yellow card for Pereira was clear.
3.) And if Benfica is better than Chelsea why did they lose 1st leg and now 2nd they had their chances they didnt score.
And affterall it was not referee who ruind them their chances they ruind it themselves

@john terry, paul might exagerated and did an essay… but chelsea wasn’t a better team than benfica at all… they just scored 2 more goals. benfica didn’t played with one first choice player at the defense, their left-back played as center-back, their defensive midfielder played has center-back, the other first choice midfielder played as right-back for 70 minutes, and than there was capdevilla who hasn’t played too much. Eventhough benfica was better as a whole time, and played an excelent well thought football with precision passes, contained attack. if you know anything about football will see that… and you’ll see that you faced a 10 men time who, eventhough, played the kind of football you’ll be facing against barcelona. and believe me… the best of you didn’t won your last challenge against barcelona… if you go there playing like this, not only you’ll be playing the worst football ever in the past 10 years, you’ll face the best barcelona ever, and the other one’s who benfica also played against. Shame on…

1) Javi Garcia’s penalty was doubtfull.. if you think it was a clear penalty, watch the first game again and you’ll see lots of faults and a penalty or two against chelsea, wich were similar to Garcia’s.
2) The second yellow card might been clear… the first wasn’t! Pereira was the captain, he can protest against the referee, that’s why there’s a captain… to speak for the team, and avoid a greater confusion.
3) In the first leg, benfica was a better team, if Terry’s handball was sanctioned, and the referee had scored penalty, the aggregated result would had been different.
Benfica had their own faults for their failure on passing through this round, specially after Garcia’s goal, when wonderkid Nelson Oliveira tried to score with a “trivela” shot, instead of shooting with his also powerfull left foot. But there’s a clear interest on favouring the team who has the biggest impact on UEFA… now was Chelsea… later will be Barça. as i said, i wish Chelsea the best, but it’s clearly who is going to the CL Final…
i can only think about how far benfica could have gone, if they managed to keep Di Maria, Fábio Coentrão, David Luiz, Ramires…

Some guys here are eager to criticize Chelsea every moment of time. What about the game between AC Milan and Barca(second leg)? Was there any fairness in the way the ref treated AC Milan? Chelsea may not have displayed the best of attacking football but have been able to defend relatively well. The improvement in counter-attacks is why Chelsea has made it to the semis. If UEFA do not influence Barca vs Chelsea match,the Blues will make it to the final cos the boys have got what it takes: ”Experience”.
i hope we are going to beat the Barca only if our players will not enter the game with fear of the big name of Barcelona. AC Milan tried their level best why not the blues?

If that penalty and first yellow (he must not yell or scream on referee even if he is a captain and after all he knew he has a yellow card and he did that foul ) were doubtfull* why did Damir Skomina got mark 9 out of 10 by Uefa observer Bo Karlson . And many referee experts said that this was one of the best referee (Euro 2012) I really dont know what is wrong with Jorge Jesus and his complains.

Since chelsea susided from Napoli what would make them not to suside from barca.Barca is a big club, whit a big players, big players whit big referees who can help them when ever the are in danger.But this time around chelsea will defeat them and their big referees.
