Barton Red Card Man City

This Joey Barton red card vs Man City ( VIDEO BELOW) reduced his team to ten men during their clash against Man City on May 13, 2012. QPR skipper Barton was sent off by referee Mike Dean for an elbow to Carlos Tevez’s throat. Infuriated by the red card, Barton kneed Sergio Aguero in the back and had further confrontations with Vincent Kompany and Mario Balotelli before leaving the pitch.

Can do nothing but apologise to the players and the fans. Still don’t think its a sending off. Tried to take 1 of their players with me….

Still not my proudest moment but who gives a f*ck, we are safe……….and that is all that matters.

The head was never gone at any stage, once I’d been sent off, one of our players suggested I should try to take 1 of theirs with me…

…Never worked but god loves a trier. #reallynotbother #wearesafe

Think a few people are forgetting Tevez started the fracas by throwing a punch to the head…?

Barton took to Twitter ( Joey7Barton) to defend his actions and said that Tevez had started it all by throwing a punch. He also added that one his team mates suggested he take out a QPR player in the process. Legendary England striker Alan Shearer criticised his behaviour on MOTD, but Barton, feeling that Shearer had attacked him personally, called him a pr**k on Twitter.

I know I f*cked up Alan, thanks for stating the obvious.

Whilst were both stating the obvious about each other, can I just say for the record what a great player u were. Well better me…

But I have a better hair(which is not hard), wear well better shirts on TV and have a personality(something u lack).

I really don’t like that pr**k, in fact I honestly despise him… Goodnight.

I’d take it off Hansen and GaryLineker but not from that bell, same fella that stamped on Neil Lennon, then threatened FA if they banned him

…That he would retire from international football. No sorry, not having him, never have. Selfish, boring man him. He can do one…

My favourite memory of him though is when he dropped his spuds when Keano put it on him. Goodnight Al, sleep well matey…

With that my shearerrant is over… Goodnight all xxxxxx

He also had a go at Gary Lineker after the two had a debate, again on Twitter.

do u wanna go there publicly “Mr Squeaky Clean” ? Think u should have a look in that vast closet of skeltons before u respond.

I know a lot about THAT side to u the people don’t and won’t bat an eye lid at exposing u. So mind ur manners Squeaky

ow back under your stone you odious little toad…

Legend? More like damaged in the head

I think Barton has a violent streak, but a replay shortly after the incident on ITV showed clearly that Tevez initiated the violence by attacking Barton. I believe it was pre-planned, probably only by Tevez, rather than a club plot.

Why do people always want to solve any conflict with a fight? As a pacifist, I find it incredible……..

A tweet from Joey Barton not too long ago

Seems he’s forgotten to practice what he preaches

  8. Lewis May 14, 2012 8:54 pm

nothing to see here, if your going to take someone down I would try a bit harder Barton, a 5 year old kid could have taken that hit pathetic

  9. Phil Saunders May 15, 2012 12:12 am

Joey Barton thinks he is tough, attacks trainees, attacks players off the ball and causes trouble wherever he goes.
A waste of good air. Hard man? lmao See how he went down from that slap againist Arsenal? (Joey called it a punch but then Joey can dish it out but he cannot take it cos he isn’t any sort of a man).

Joey Barton is no legend, he is a total waste of a wage. Thousands of kids dream of being in his position and work bloody hard to achieve it. This guy was lucky enough to have a talent that got him to the top. However, the guy ain’t got two brain cells to rub together and the talent he has is totally wasted on him.
He should be banned from football for life. A total waste of space and not worthy of the position he had. Gazza had talent and was a bit of a lad but he is a million times classier than this idiot.

  11. Rob May 15, 2012 2:58 am

This Joey guy has pea-size brain and stands at the bottom end of civilisation. More like him on pitches around the world and parental guidance will soon be needed to watch games.

  12. Tom May 15, 2012 12:59 pm

He should be locked up in prison (again). He is just on overpaid ego that doesn’t deserve to play football and certainly doesn’t deserve to get paid the wage that he does. There are kids and people in this world who have nothing and he has everything and acts in this manner, disgusting, he should be ashamed, but looked at the pathetic comments to Shearer and co, it looks like he isn’t.

  13. Myles May 15, 2012 11:07 pm

Even though i dont agree hes a legend I gotta make reference to the above comment comparing barton to gazza… Yeah its real classy to be an alcoholic, ignoring his family and stealing from them etc…. Barton is a hot head yeah and should be better examples but how many of u av shouted abuse or maybe even gotten into fights over your footy team? Please pull the plank of wood out of your own eye before u moan about the dust in someone elses!

  14. Graeme May 16, 2012 12:55 am

My reference to Gazza was not a defence of him. Beating up your wife and being a total piss head is not something for the up and coming footballers to aspire for. However, compared to this clown Barton he’s a saint. Barton earns more in a week than many do in a year. There is no defence for him and if I did what he did in the street I would expect the jail.
Talking of planks, look in the mirror Myles. What kind of defence is it to make reference to other clowns acting in the same way as Barton in the street or at chucking out time! Beyond belief that you can use regular hard working guys with bills and all the pressures that go with them to legitimise the actions of a spoilt, petulant, immature, grossly overpaid piece of sewer scum like Barton!
Have a word with yourself Myles.

Some people need to stay on thier estates and pick up thier weekly dole. Goes to chow, class cannot be bought.. What a poor example of a british man!

i think joey bartons reactions were wrong but then like most other people im passing judgement from the comfort of a computer. the f.a should take into account the actions of tevez and the officials lack off attention, to what was a serious incedent that led to barton lashing out. i feel barton should have gone off but tevez should have gone off also.

  17. roman May 17, 2012 8:22 am

Lay off the lad. His a human not a robot. So he f**ked up, who doesn’t? Still a damn good player in my book.

  18. Laipa May 17, 2012 11:05 pm

As much as Barton deserved to get punishment for his violence act, Tevez deserved a ban at least for 80% of what Barton got.

FA must look into Tevez made up foul to get Barton punished. This Tevez not only smeared EPL football image by painting Man City and Mancini with his unacceptable behaviors, he played again a very ignominious foul to get his fellow player punish.

Tevez should be banned from further playing in EPL and out of Europe. He is such a mess whose action warranted him to get punished to get out of Europe.

  19. ash May 23, 2012 7:40 pm

I thought he said he could take it from Lineker. What a little b**ch! I hope you never get back in the team you disgraceful c**t

  20. Phills July 25, 2012 10:09 am

There’s no doubt this man has some talent as a footballer but regarding self control and ability to keep his head he has no talent at all, if you can’t take the critisism Mr Barton then please don’t do the stupid actions that will cause people to slag you off,, i don’t know him but from what he says he wanted to be a role model for youngsters and i’m afraid this certainly isn’t the way to go about it !

  21. Alex August 2, 2012 4:52 pm

A disscrace it was vaguely funny the way he kicked off,and it obviously tacks guts to fight half the city team, but his comments on twitter were bang out of order
