It would be good if these guys would just play the game. When the goalie gets a hand to one of Ronaldo’s shots watch the expression of fake agony on his face during his appeal to an unfair God who denied him his glorious goal. So many of these players are pampered and spoilt, with huge egos.

Then there was Ibrahimovic, shouting abuse at England’s goalie, Hart, after Sweden’s second goal, Hart behaved like a good sportsman and didn’t respond.

Ibrahimovic and Ronaldo are excellent players, but as to their behaviour on the field….

  24. Sir Wids June 22, 2012 3:28 pm

Ronaldo is great .but remember the greatest a midfielder who managed to show strikers like Ronaldo the great the art of scoring .avoid comparing him with HIM who is not even there.

  25. Chizy June 22, 2012 4:00 pm

    Dear Bryan,

Please how do you know he’s faking the agony? I played soccer for my High School and it was agonizing and frustrating when you fail to convert a chance over and over again. Also, being a christian isn’t Ronaldo allowed to pray to his ‘unfair’ God or has it become a crime? You probably haven’t even met Ronaldo one on one yet you have labelled him, spoiled, pampered and egoistic. I am not saying that he isn’t any of these, but we are all human beings and all have our faults so stop criticizing Ronaldo because take it or leave it, he is HUMAN and not a god that is meant to be perfect. And as for the Ibrahimovic situation, if you aren’t sure, please don’t write it because if Ibrahimovic shouted profanities, it would have been over the news and he would have been sanctioned by FIFA.

Even in his country, in my country, Cristiano Ronaldo has supporters and critics.
One day, in a friendly match in Viseu against Georgia, there was a group of R. Madrid fans trying to persuade him to leave M. United. But he was not very lucky in that match. Afterwards they got him. It’s a false question to compare him with Messi and other great players, because each of them has qualities and shortcomings.
I like his joy, the way he sometimes reacts – not always approving – and his sincere commitment to the team. Be careful…

  30. A. Bernardo June 24, 2012 4:38 pm

@zaini what do you mean a small country where you can find a lot of gyspy people? Are you talking about your country? Because I leave in Portugal and the amount of gypsies here is rather low if I say so myself.

Better get your facts straight, next time.

I like the videos, keep up the good work

  34. Antides Santo June 25, 2012 8:55 am

Portugal “will lost” with Spain? Let’s wait and see…

  35. Jamba June 25, 2012 5:19 pm

@ Bryan: How the f**k can you compare a football player who swears at another player with one who is passionate and competitive? Ronaldo’s reaction to the missed goals, regardless of why you think he did it, can not be comparable to Ibrahimovic’s supposed abuse to Joe Hart, because unlike Ibra, Ronaldo is not being rude to anyone. Only an idiot with no sense of logic can compare the two.

  36. Antides Santo June 30, 2012 5:18 pm

Sport, and life, have a double face: one day you win, the next you lose.
In fact, Portugal’s will was not lost with Spain; what was lost was the game, but only after the penalties.
