Player Ratings AS Monaco 0-3 Lyon 2019 from the French newspapers | How did Lyle Foster play?

Young South African forward Lyle Foster was chosen to lead the line for AS Monaco in their season opener against Lyon last night. With Radamel Falcao, Keita Balde and Stevan Jovetic all unavailable, Jardim gave young Foster his league debut. However the teenager had a game to forget, and was hooked at half time for Gabriel Boschilia.

Here are the player ratings for ASM vs OL from French paper L’Equipe. Lyle Foster got a 3/10, but he wasn’t the only one- most of his Monaco team mates didn’t fare too better either.

Monaco were always on the backfoot following a first half red card to Cesc Fabregas (which lead him to not being rated for this game!). Dembele, who scored an early goal for Lyon in their 3-0 win, was the best of the players on display.

Foster got a 2.5/10 from MaxiFoot, and a 4/10 from FootMercato,

    L’Equipe’s rating for Depay seems a tad harsh given he was one of the goal scorers?
