Here are the player and referee ratings from several of Europe’s big newspapers (L’Equipe, Sport, Gazzetta) following Juventus’ exit from the Champions League. Juve dominated the game, and won 2-1 thanks to Ronaldo’s brace, but were eliminated on the away goals rule. Criticism for several Juve players, including Gonzalo Higuain and Juan Cuadrado while referee Felix Zwayer was also rated poorly.

L’Equipe gave Felix Zwayer a referee rating of 2/10! They also gave Maurizio Sarri a poor manager rating as compared to his Lyon counterpart Garcia.

CdS were also critical of Zwayer’s performance, giving him a referee match rating of 4/10.

Spanish paper Sport thought there wasn’t much to choose between both sides, but no individual player, not even Ronaldo, got more than 7 in their player ratings.
