Liverpool sign Raul Meireles from FC Porto
Liverpool have strengthened their midfield with the acquisition of midfielder Raul Meireles from FC Porto. The club stated on its official website ( liverpoolfc.tv) that it had paid 14 million euros for Meireles’ services. The Reds were looking for reinforcements following the summer departures of Alberto Aquilani and Javier Mascherano to Juventus and Barcelona respectively.
