American midfielder Weston McKennie was in action against Man City in the Champions League last night and the 20 year old gave a very good account of himself at the Veltins Arena. He started and played 78 minutes before being replaced by Steven Skrybzski. When he left the pitch, Schalke were leading 2-1- they eventually lost 3-2!

This Leroy Sane free kick v Schalke was a top class FK from Man City’s German winger Sane, who came off the bench to score against his old club in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie at the Veltins Arena on 20 February, 2019. Sane’s goal against S04 came in the 85th minute and levelled the scores for City, who later went to win 3-2 thanks to Sterling’s 90th minute strike. Fantastic free kick, the goalkeeper was powerless to stop that!
