After CCTV footage of a couple getting intimate at the Valley went viral a couple of days ago, Charlton Athletic have admitted that the whole thing was part of a PR stunt. Addicks officials admitted that they created the video of the couple making out and released the “CCTV footage” as part of their “Score at the Valley” pitch hire campaign, where fans can book the pitch to play in the off-season.
Did Charlton’s marketing department get it right or will this blow up in their face?
Remember Heurelho Gomes? The former Tottenham goalkeeper produced this amazing triple save in his side’s Championship game against Bolton Wanderers over the weekend on Valentine’s Day. Gomes first denied Liam Feeney, then kept out Adam Le Fondre on the rebound and finally stopped Zach Clough’s effort from a tight angle, as this short clip below will show. The Brazilian even posted the vid on his official Twitter and Instagram pages.
This Tommy Smith head injury (VIDEO BELOW) took place in Huddersfield Town’s 2-1 loss to Leeds United in the Championship on 31 January, 2015. Smith was injured in a collision with team mate Joe Murphy during Billy Sharp’s late winner for Leeds and “was in and out of consciousness for ten minutes” according to Terriers manager Chris Powell.
He was airlifted to hospital after the incident
