The draw for the Round of 16 of the League Cup has been announced and it has some very tasty ties including a Manchester Derby (United v City) and a London derby in the form of West Ham v Chelsea. Liverpool will host Spurs while Arsenal have been drawn against Reading (remember the 7-5 they contested not too long ago?)
Games will be played on October 25-26, 2016 and all fixtures will start at 19.45 with the exception of the Manchester derby, which will kick off at 8 pm
This cracking Marco Matias goal vs Leeds (VIDEO BELOW) was an absolutely stunning volley form the Sheffield Wednesday player in his side’s 1-1 draw with Leeds on 22 August, 2015. Matias’ goal v Leeds also earned the “goal of the day” tag on Sky, and as you can see, it was a pretty special one. His first goal for the club- great first touch and powerful volley.
This Tommy Smith head injury (VIDEO BELOW) took place in Huddersfield Town’s 2-1 loss to Leeds United in the Championship on 31 January, 2015. Smith was injured in a collision with team mate Joe Murphy during Billy Sharp’s late winner for Leeds and “was in and out of consciousness for ten minutes” according to Terriers manager Chris Powell.
He was airlifted to hospital after the incident
