Man City star Raheem Sterling took to social media to highlight racism in the British press while reporting on football. Sterling showed two examples in both of his Man City teammates (Phil Foden and Tosin Adarabioyo). He mentioned in his post that both of them wanted to buy houses for their mums, and highlighted the reporting differences in the two articles after they had purchased their respective homes- for the Caucasian Foden and the black Adarabioyo.
Sterling has himself had a complex relationship with the UK press, with many alleging that he had been a victim of subtle racism, especially with regard to his private life and the gun tattoo
