Harry Redknapp should probably change his surname to Potter. How else would you explain bottom of the table Tottenham Hotspur’s stunning 2-1 victory over leaders Liverpool yesterday night ? Roman Pavlyuchenko’s injury time strike lifted Spurs off the bottom of the table as Redknapp masterminded another excellent comeback to hand Liverpool their first league defeat of the 2008-09 season.

Werder Bremen 5-1 Hertha Berlin BSC

Werder Bremen scored five goals for the third time in the Bundesliga this season when they crushed Hertha Berlin BSC 5-1 at the Weser Stadion on Saturday. Claudio Pizarro and Diego Ribas da Cunha both marked their return from injury with three goals together as Bremen won for the first time in seven games in all competitions. Bremen’s last win was the 5-4 thriller against Hoffenheim after which they lost to Stuttgart and Leverkusen and drew four other games, including two European clashes against Inter and Panathinaikos.

Bayern Munich 3-1 Arminia Bielefeld- Bundesliga week 11

Defending champions Bayern Munich had to again depend on Franck Ribery to come to the rescue as they beat Michael Frontzeck’s Arminia Bielefeld 3-1 at the Allianz Arena on Saturday. Ribery scored in the 77th minute, and also won a penalty seven minutes later that assured the German giants of victory.
