This Niall Quinn vs Derby County (VIDEO BELOW) saw the Irish striker achieve a rather unique feat in Man City’s 2-1 win over DCFC on April 20, 1991. Quinn scored a goal as an outfield player & then went in goal after Tony Coton had been sent off. He saved a penalty from Dean Saunders, thus helping Manchester City win 2-1. A rare distinction- a goal and a penalty save in the same game!

Radomir Antic, the only person to have managed Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid has passed away at the age of 71. As a player, this Antic goal vs Man City was one of his greatest moments- it came on the 14th of May, 1983 on the final day of the 1982/83 First Division season. Antic’s late goal gave Luton Town a 1-0 win away from home and kept the Hatters up, with City being relegated instead.
